MATERIAL CHOICES

Choose a material for the finished job

Start with where the print will be used, how it will be displayed and whether the surface underneath should show through. These are the material choices currently listed for the products below; the final options and price appear in each configurator.

Flyers and folded brochures

Paper weight is one part of the feel. A heavier sheet generally feels firmer, but folds, coating and the chosen size also affect the result. Ask for a sample if colour or hand feel is critical.

ProductListed materialWhen to consider it
Flyers / leaflets128gsm Art PaperA lighter handout when large quantities or easy distribution matter.
Flyers / leaflets157gsm Art PaperA firmer paper handout.
Flyers / leaflets210gsm Art CardA more substantial flat piece; check the chosen fold before ordering.
Brochures157gsm Art Paper; 210gsm Art CardCompare the lighter paper with the firmer card for the intended folded format.

The flyer options are trimmed, half fold and tri-fold. The brochure options are bi-fold, tri-fold and Z-fold. Check the panel plan in the size guide before designing a folded piece.

Bunting, banners and backdrops

ProductListed materialsSelection question
BuntingFrontlit Flex 380gsm, Frontlit Flex 440gsm, Blockout FlexWill it be lit from the front, and does light or artwork behind it need to be obscured?
PVC bannerTarpaulin 380gsm, Tarpaulin 440gsm, Blockout BannerWhat span, mounting method and opacity does the display need?
Event backdrop printFrontlit Flex 440gsm, PP Synthetic, Sticker + board mountingDo you need flexible print media or a mounted rigid display? Structures and installation need a separate scope.

The heavier listed flex or tarpaulin option is a material choice, not a guarantee that a finished banner is suitable for every outdoor position. Wind load, frame, fixing points and installation must be assessed for the actual site. Eyelets and pole pockets are finishing options on the relevant product; confirm their placement before sending artwork.

Large format stickers

Listed materialWhat to check
PP StickerConfirm the intended surface, application method and any lamination requirement.
PVC StickerCheck whether the substrate, shape and installation method suit the job.
Transparent StickerConsider how the background colour affects the printed design; ask about white ink if opacity is required.
Blockout StickerConsider it when the colour or previous graphic underneath must be hidden.

The large format sticker configurator lists square cut, matt or gloss lamination and contour cut options. Durability and removability depend on the exact material, surface, lamination and environment; describe the installation surface in a custom request if these matter.

Product illustrations show the type of item, not a tested sample or a photograph of a completed customer job. For exact colour, finish or outdoor performance, request the relevant specification or sample before committing to a large order.
